Picnic In A Restaurant At The Mall

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

These days, I’ve been seeing many restaurants offering eat-all-you-can packages or even the buffet style of dining wherein you will only be paying for a fixed amount and you can easily eat anything you want as long as you can take it in. There are usually also those that provide clean-plate buffet style for a reduced amount but in case you put more food on your plate than what you will be able to finish and you end up having leftovers, you will have to pay double the price of the promo price of the dining package.

The mentality of the individuals who visit buffet style dining is mostly to binge on the food on the table and a number usually are just there merely for low priced dining purposes since they find it really worth it to pay a fixed price and eat all the food on the table without the need of any limitations just as long as you will be in a position to take each and every food in. My friend and I have happened to be frequenting restaurants that offer eat-all-you-can promos and it is most likely the most anticipated occasion that we are usually getting ready for every Saturday until last week.

I truly did not have virtually any idea why there were so lots of people in our favorite restaurant that day that we spent just about 3 hours waiting in line for our turn to be seated due to the fact there were just so many people in the restaurant enjoy the food in the buffet table. It seemed that they didn’t have any plans of leaving the area until it was closing time so I guess it seemed to be pointless to wait for next table to turn into obtainable so my friend and I did not have any option but to leave and appear for a restaurant that will offer identical quality food that a large number of the restaurants around have to offer.

As we were walking around the mall, we noticed that there is a new restaurant that had just opened recently and it was situated in the far side of the mall that there aren’t too much people. It was funny because it was a different type of restaurant since there are no tables and chairs around where you could sit comfortably as a normal restaurant would appear.

They only had a large grass area where big picnic cloths were set approximately work as table. It absolutely was a brand new concept for dining inside the mall because they even had real bushes and plants within the restaurant to help to make the place feel for instance the outdoors with dim lights and an outdoor feel because of the available ceiling. They had a promo for their soft opening only to drum up a trade also to entice new buyers to try their food and ambience.

I fancy it because no one has ever tried establishing a picnic site within the mall where you could actually eat your lunch from their particular picnic baskets while you sit on your picnic cloth on the grass. It’s actually a restaurant that advances picnic concepts and I personally think this will likely absolutely help to make it massive in the dining industry especially for the young generations along with the people who just want to relive a memorable picnic experience that they will do over and over again anytime.

Convection Makes Baking Easier

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

If I were to pick the very best way to bake my cookies and brownies, I would certainly select to have them baked using a convection oven as opposed to utilizing the standard type of gas oven. I’ve already been baking pastries for the past 4 years and all I will be able to say is that I did pretty well with a gas oven, considering that it was just my first time to bake without the need of virtually any formal classes or training on baking.

I learned almost everything from scratch over the internet and that’s a thing that I am extremely proud of. I have figured out each and every pretty important pointers in baking by experience and I must say that it absolutely was not an simple task to do. There usually are no shortcuts with baking. You need to be patient with what you are usually doing because a slight mistake can obviously make a massive change in the outcome that you are usually required to get.

It may be positive but the vast majority of the time, the outcomes tends to be bad when you normally overdo the ingredients or the surgeries when it comes to baking. It’s no way close to cooking simply because you perfect the dish you are cooking simply by adding more substances to taste and it does not matter in the event you add a bit of more than what is initially indicated in the recipe given that it suits your taste.

According to my 4 years of baking experience, I must admit that there were many times that the whole batch on cookies I manufactured went to waste due to the fact I either melted the butter a bunch of or I mixed the cookie batter excessive. There were also times when I figured I’ve put enough substances in the batter but when I had finished baking them, I became aware that I had forgotten to add eggs or sugar in it and there exists nothing at all more I could do with regards to it but to just throw the main batch away.

Lately, I have not committed any mistakes in baking maybe because of my past experiences which I learned from. My friends are even asking me to bake cookies, brownies and cupcakes for our weekly picnic dates. The best part is that I wouldn’t have to worry about thinking of the place where to have our weekly picnics because I get to concentrate on baking the goods for the event and the rest of the gang gets to worry about that. A good convection oven will definitely save me more time and energy since I won’t have to flip the trays on both sides just to make sure that the pastries I am baking are equally cooked from both sides of the oven due to uneven heat distribution going on inside most gas ovens.

With an electric convection oven, I would just wait for the correct time to pursue my pastries out of the oven when my timer goes off and I probably would not have to worry of burning virtually any of it anymore. It is because of the supporters that are generally based in the oven to help to make sure which the heat is equally spread in the oven to cook your food perfectly.

Having Your Cupcakes And Ingesting Them, Too

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Baking is most likely one of the hardest things that I’ve tried to do. Unlike cooking, baking calls for more attention and you need to make sure that all the elements that you happen to be using tend to be measured exactly as stated on the recipe. In the event you do not follow the information as it’s in the recipe book, you are likely to end up with another product which is either not edible or a bit too different from the finished product that you are required to come up with. I have tried to alter and play around with several baking recipes and I may only tell you so much in relation to it.

Unlike the other well-known pastry chefs around who played with baking recipes and developed new goods which were widely recognized by the buyers, the goods that I came up with as a result of playing around with the baking substances usually are not really that enticing enough to eat. A lot of them came out flat, too hard or too soft to eat. I just cannot come up having an extremely excellent accidental recipe that tasted so much better than the original one.

I really do not know what happened with the last batch of cupcakes I manufactured. Well, the cupcake itself was very good and almost perfect. The part where I had problems with was with the frosting. I was considering a whole brand new way to prepare your cupcake frostings by whipping up some cream and some butter. I know it could’ve tasted dreadful if only I had enough courage to taste it due to the fact the thing is, I forgot to put sugar and that explains why it didn’t stand out that well. The butter and whipped cream mixture was not positive enough to form peaks and I doubt that kids would even love them since adults won’t even touch them.

I have learned my lesson and I have learned to consult the internet for the recipe and instructions on how to cook or prepare something if in case your mom or someone who knows how to make it is not available to guide you. And that is actually how I came up with another perfect batch of cupcakes just a few minutes ago. There are forums that I saw which gives you detailed instructions on how to whip cream properly and how to soften or melt butter to form that perfect frosting on top of your cake or cupcakes.

The frosting that is being employed for cupcakes is no diverse from the frosting being used to decorate cakes. I recommend you bake a cake when you are having your friends to come over to your place only to impress them how very good you are usually in baking a cake. Or in order for you to have to pursue it with you for picnics, you do not have to bake the full cake just to do so. It is the part where cupcakes kick into the scene since they are generally just miniature versions of the actual cake itself.

If you ever think you have mastered the art of making them, you may also help to make money out of it simply by selling them to your friends for unique occasions. You hardly ever know if you have a very good blooming profession ahead of you in baking unless you try so I say give it a positive shot and notice in the event you have what it takes to turn into next best pastry chef.

So Your Buddies Say They Can’t Make It To The Picnic?

Monday, April 12th, 2010

My friends and I go on a regular picnic at least once every week. It has already become a routine for us to meet up in a place and plan where to have our next picnic at. I must admit that sometimes, we run out of new ideas and suggestions on where and how to have our picnic because there are times when in our circle of 10 friends, only 4 or 5 would make it to the picnic due to their conflicting work schedule or they have plans with some other friends that has been planned ahead of time.

I truly am unsure this time if they are really just having conflict with their particular schedule of work or if they’re just generating up alibis to not go to our normal picnic. Well, if they were choosing not to go due to the fact they think it’s becoming boring, I will have to agree. The weekly picnic is starting to seem just as if it is just an obligation or a habit that we desire to do in a weekly basis. I must admit that there were times that I felt that way.

Right now, I am considering ways on how to our picnic less boring and more on something to look forward to. Maybe we also do not have to do it in a weekly basis. Perhaps every other week will do just to avoid getting so much employed to it that you have nearly had enough of it. That way, we shall be having more time to think regarding how to help to make the picnic become more special and make it a more anticipated occasion rather than just another weekly picnic schedule.

For the earlier times 2 years, we have always had the common and traditional picnic where we give in food and look for a good spot or a nice venue to stay at. Not necessarily on the ground just like the old-fashioned picnic but somewhere quiet, peaceful and clean. Usually, that would certainly be the park, a friend’s garden or out of town.

This time around, I am thinking of holding our picnic in a friend’s garden but with a little more twist than the usual. We will be setting up a nice, long table with fancy cloth on it, really colorful teapots, cups and saucers of various shapes and sizes, Japanese lanterns hanging above the table in a line, fancy pastries that would look too good to eat and everyone with their silliest hat on. We’re going to have a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

We’ve never done anything like this before so this will be a first. We can probably do a theme picnic at least once a month so that we can prepare for it properly. We could even invite more friends to come over to our tea party to make it extra special and extraordinary. Of course, the picnic will be a potluck so each one should bring their share of food and stuff. I’ve heard of theme wedding and theme birthday parties so why not start a theme picnic?

Picnic Etiquettes

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Who says that being on a picnic means you can certainly do whatever you desire? Well, if it were that way, then it will be too scary to go on a picnic because anything will be able to happen because there are generally no rules to follow. Individuals will just walk up to your picnic spot and hijack your basket which will be extremely dangerous, too. I shudder to think what could happen. So before anything awful happens to your supposedly calming and stress-free picnic, there are numerous picnic etiquettes that you must abide by in order to coexist with other picnic goers and with your surroundings also.

There are picnic groves that have several picnic tables that strangers can share. Please don’t come up to somebody else’s picnic and feel too comfortable. You never know what these people are there for and they might not like it if someone gatecrashes to their picnic.

Another common thing that happens in a really fun picnic with a lot of available food on the table is the famous Food fight. This is very common in school cafeterias but then it can happen in picnics too since they are by themselves. Don’t start, encourage or get involved in a food fight. Aside from all the trash that you will be leaving behind, you will be attracting a lot of bugs such as ants and bees that could harm you once they smell food on you.

Another thing to watch is your music volume. Don’t play your stereo too loud. You won’t just disturb other picnic goers, but you might irritate the animals around you. You don’t want a bear or other untamed animals to come over to your picnic just since they heard your loud music.

Speaking of bears, do not feed the creatures, specifically bears. They could be cute and cuddly, but then again you don’t know when they might suddenly turn wild. For many who take their dogs along on a picnic, do not let your dogs out without a leash because they might harm or destroy other people’s picnic and you will be held accountable for it.

Also, help to make sure you clean up your dog’s droppings and make sure to dispose it correctly. That applies to all your trash at the same time. Keep all your trash in a bag that you could bring to avoid a pile up of trash in the picnic site.

And on your way home, don’t drink alcoholic beverages knowing that you will be driving everyone home. Accidents happen anytime and everywhere so refrain from drinking alcohol in a picnic. There are a lot of things that you need to avoid in order to make your picnic worry and hassle free. The list goes on and on. Different strokes for different folks. In the end, the success of your picnic will all depend on how well you behave as a responsible picnic-goer.

Eventually, there are various things you can easily do without the need of limiting oneself from doing. Have fun, fun and more fun! Do provide an excellent camera to capture your precious moments, give loads of healthy and great food for all people in the picnic to enjoy and have some more fun under the sun.
