Why Fasting And Arm Toning Don’t Mix Well

Here are 6 reasons why arm fat and fasting don’t mix:

1. Metabolic meltdown. Fasting produces the fastest drop in metabolic rate of any other diet. And once your metabolism drops, you’ll burn less calories around the clock.

2. Arm fat rebound. Fasting can produce some lightning-quick results. But once you get off the fast the fairy tale is over because of massive regains of fat and water.

3. Short-term only. Fasting can only be done in the short term. It’s not a sustainable way of eating for arm fat loss. If you fast for too long, your health will deteriorate.

4. Intense hunger pangs. At least on a low carb diet you get the satiating effect of protein. But on a fast you get nothing. The end result will be uncontrollable urges to eat and eat, and eat.

5. Massive lethargy. Your body loves carbohydrates for energy. But without carbohydrates it can manage with protein. When you fast, your body gets neither. The end result is that it eats away muscle tissue for energy.

6. More sick days. Talk about a decrease in productivity! You can expect a much higher frequency of sickness as a result of muted immune responses. Without enough food, your body’s immune response will be severely compromised.

Fasting diets may be tempting for arm fat loss because they produce such rapid results. However, in the long run you’ll be worse off. So why not use an approach that is sustainable and gets you permanent results? And why not use an approach that isn’t so painful and depriving? Fad diets are just that, fads. They come and go just like fashion. So ignore the hype and stick to what works!

Bollywood is an Important Part of Indian Culture

The two great ancient epics of India, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have provided a foundation for the burgeoning of Indian commercial cinema, that later came to be known as Bollywood.

During the Mahatma Gandhi-led national movement, Indian cinema was at its peak taking on a distinct moral code and acting as the social vehicle for moral messages. During this time, most Bollywood directors and screenplay writers for the most part, followed the Gandhian philosophy. Many directors were passionate about making their films a vehicle for messages of social reform.

During Mahatma Gandhi’s era, Indian commercial cinema reflected Mahatma’s social concerns. Caste based inequalities were tackled in films like Sujata, Acchut and Haasil. Dil Ek Mandir focussed on the oppression of women in family and society. And most prominent perhaps which seems to be most relevant in Bollywood films today is the disparity between rich and poor in films like Pyaasa, Lawaaris and Jaagte Raho.

In this modern age, Bollywood continues to embrace commercialism. Just as in the West, there is a culture for people to read about A-list actors in Grazia or Heat magazines; pages brimming with celebrity diets, fitness regimes and DVDs, fans of Bollywood actors and actresses seek to emulate their screen icons, albeit through their clothes, makeup, dance styles or workout regimes.

In India the trend to copy the lives of Bollywood screen idols is evidentially extreme. The Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor caused a storm when she dropped down to a size zero. Last year, her nutritionist brought out a book detailing Kareena’s eating regime which led to her size zero. The foreword of the book was written by Kareena herself, endorsing her size zero diet. Suddenly women in India were obsessed with becoming the ultimate size zero. On Western catwalks the size zero is frowned upon. And it seems bizarre that Indian women once celebrated for their natural fuller figures are choosing to be more willowy and waif like in favour of their European counterparts.

Should You Eat At Late Hours?

Many seem to hold firm to the belief that no foods should be eaten late at night. After all, we’re least active when we sleep so there won’t be an opportunity to burn off any excess calories as a result.

Is this the truth of the matter, or just a myth that has circulated so widely that it’s seen as truth? What do the facts of the matter actually suggest?

It is true that energy not used up by your body is stored as fat, this is not a myth. If our calorie intake is greater than our calorie usage then we will see this reflected in our weight in the form of fat.

If you exercise today, you are not only burning the calories that you ate this morning. You will also be using up the calories that your body has stored at other times so it cannot be true that eating at night will cause you to become fat.

It is also the case that everything we do uses energy to some extent. All the little movements you make and even when you’re sleeping, you are in constant use of your energy supplies.

Many experts will tell you that it’s a bad idea to avoid eating anything late at night. After all, the body may then go up to 12 or more hours without acquiring any new means of energy or any nutrients. Would you ever go 12 hours without eating during the middle of the day?

If there’s something to be said about this all, one thing that you’re best suited not doing is avoiding foods with sugars and little nutritional value late at night. These may keep you up later than you need to be, and they may also make it more difficult to sleep.

Since you’ll never want to go without a good night’s sleep, it’s clear that sugar should be avoided late at night. Otherwise, there’s no truth to this unsubstantiated myth that eating late at night is more likely to lead to weight gain.

4 Reasons Why High Carb Diets Can Increase Jiggly Arm Flab

Figuring the right nutritional approach for losing arm flab can be like finding a needle in a haystack because with all the marketing campaigns out there the truth has been hidden amongst all the falsehoods.

I’m pretty sure you’re having a challenge finding the perfect diet.

If so, you’re not alone. I suspect that most women are utterly lost when it comes to solid nutrition for arm flab loss, I know I was.

Thus, here is why you shouldn’t go high carb to lose arm fat:

1. Sugar overdose. Being around lots of carbs means being around lots of sugar in one form or another. And if you have a sugar addiction you should definitely stay away from high carb eating. After all, once you start having sugar it will be very hard to stop.

2. Can increase insulin resistance. The research has shown time and again that those with insulin resistance do far better with lower carb diets. So if you’re insulin resistant, high carb dieting is not for you.

3. Oscillating levels of hunger. If you eat a large amount of carbs you run the risk of taking your blood sugar for a roller coaster ride because carbohydrates have the biggest impact on blood sugar levels. The best way to counteract this is with an enormous vegetable intake.

4. Sluggish arm fat loss. If you’re looking for fast results this probably isn’t the diet for you. When cranking up the carb intake, fat loss comes at a very slow rate.

Now high carb diets can work for some women: those with fast metabolisms and no insulin resistance. How can you tell if you’re insulin resistant? Look at your stomach and if it’s disproportionately large compared to your other body parts, then you may be insulin resistant. Insulin resistance increase visceral fat, the fat that is around the organs in your stomach.
